For a long time I’ve wanted to do some long exposure light painting with sparklers.  I had my chance on my most recent trip to New York, thanks to my Aunt and my cousin’s son!  It was so much fun seeing what interesting things we could capture on film.  The best part was how excited the kids were to see what was happening in the photos, their exclamations of “How did you do that!” really made my day.

Photography is something where there will always be something to learn, a way to grow and change.  I learned that while I was home as well!  But I can say that I am so proud of myself for what I have already learned, the things I know how to do now that I would never have been able to do two years ago.  For example- the sparkler photos were all hand-held, long exposures.  I’m very proud of that.
