Last night I found a friend willing to go with me to see a local fireworks display.  I got there and realized that I’d left my wide angle lens in my camera bag, in my car, at my friend’s house.  *sigh* I had my long lens on the camera, but it was about 1.5 miles back to the house.  I decided to make the best of things.

Some of them came out really well, despite the limitation of the zoom lens.  I feel like I’ve come a long way in my photography; there was a time when I would’ve had no idea how to make shots like this happen.  Now I do.  That’s progress.
