I first saw Allie at a barrel race when she was about 15 years old.  I was in awe of how good she and her horse Peppy were.  When her mom asked me if I would do her senior portraits, I was very excited.  Allie has the kind of calm, peaceful attitude that make her a fantastic rider and a great person to be around.

I had Allie climbing logs and crossing streams and moving all over this lush landscape to get the most beautiful backdrops!  She was more than willing to do whatever I asked.  We took many gorgeous photos of her and her horses Peppy and Homer.

It took an hour, but I was finally able to get both horses and Allie all looking at me.  The best part is both horses have their ears forward and are interested.

This shoot taught me that you sometimes have to hike, get wet, and sweat a lot to get the shot!  But it’s worth it in the end.
