In My Bag

Since I first began taking pictures, the contents of my camera bag (and the bag itself) has undergone many changes.  I started off with a Minolta film camera in high school.  My first digital was  a 3.5mp point and shoot.  I moved up from there to a Canon Rebel, and then got a Nikon D60.  I shot with that Nikon for quite a long time, and it got me started in my photography business.  Recently I sold that camera, and did a very big upgrade!

What’s in my bag these days:

  • Nikon D7000
  • Nikon 18-105 f/3.5 lens
  • Nikon 35mm 1.8 prime lens (I adore this lens)
  • Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 zoom (the zoom that has taken me quite far in the business)
  • Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom.  This is my newest lens, and it is beyond my wildest dreams amazing.
  • Nikon SB-600 flash rig.
  • Neutral Density Filter
  • 8gb and 2gb SD memory cards.
  • Remote shutter release
  • Battery charger

I need to go ahead and purchase UV filters for all of my lenses to protect the glass.  I also need to get a 16gb memory card.  My neutral density filter only fits my prime lens, and I think I need to invest in a neutral density filter for one of my larger lenses.

I think that my equipment is pretty nicely rounded currently, although I would like a nice fisheye lens, as well as a really nice wide angle lens.  They’ll come!
