Sunset Silhouettes

One of my favorite things to photograph is the sunset.  I think that, generally speaking, it is one of the most beautiful times of day.  You can capture the most amazing colors.

I spent a lot of time reading about creating good silhouettes and having results that were pleasing.

I took this photo in my front yard.  I metered for the available light, which created the fantastic silhouettes.  The only alteration I did on the photo was to clone out some lights from a building.  Camera settings:

f/9
exposure- 1/100
ISO-400

This is an area of photography that I want to get better at.  The only way to do that is practice.
